I’m running for Detroit School Board because we need someone at the table who knows what our children face firsthand; someone who is in the building every single day working with the children of Detroit Public Schools.
Prioritizing our children’s education is very personal to me. Growing up, my mother was a Student Support Advocate, and my aunt was a teacher. I’ve seen the struggle Detroit Public Schools have faced over the years.
These children are our future. They don’t deserve a second-class education. They deserve more. Detroit students deserve to be educated at the same highly-ranked levels we see in districts across the state of Michigan.
When I’m elected to Detroit School Board, I’ll fight for what our kids deserve — because I know what they face.
